EuroClub - Learn and practise to speak English, French, Spanish, Italian or German.

EuroClub is a non-profit making language club run by its members for their own benefit. We have existed since 1994 and as a result of our success other similar EuroClubs have been set up in Thames Valley, Oxford and Hampshire.

Conversation evenings
There are currently regular language exchange evenings in French-English, Spanish-English, Italian-English, German-English, English and Russian. The evenings are informal and friendly and usually take place in Central London wine bars/pubs or cafés. We try to find attractive but quieter places so that we can talk in a comfortable environment. Where possible an area in the meeting place will be reserved for our conversation group. In spring and summer we might organise a picnic or sit outdoors. We try to create enjoyable opportunities to practise languages and share our different cultures and experiences. If you are a native speaker you are particularly welcome at conversation evenings as you can contribute by helping others with your own language.

Tutored classes
Though we are not a language school we also have a programme of informal lessons in different European languages taught by native speakers. These are usually held every two weeks. If you come to an introductory meeting we can give you more information about the classes we currently offer. Members who go to classes pay £2 for each session.

Social events
Apart from conversation evenings and classes we also organise other enjoyable activities in London that may or may not have a language theme. These normally include activities such as meals, walks, trips, cinema visits, visits to galleries and occasional parties. Events are organised by members so that you can contribute if you have an idea of your own.

Monthly programme
Every month a bulletin is emailed to you giving full details of the next month’s activities. Once you have joined the club you can also access the monthly bulletin through the Internet.
